We Provide Threat Assessment and Response Training for Hospitals and Other Healthcare Facilities

Sadly, violence is a fact of life in today’s world. Active shooter situations are of particular concern because a large number of unprepared people are at risk, whether at a shopping mall, a school or a healthcare facility. Schools and healthcare facilities present unique issues in the event of an attack because those at risk (young school children, patients) cannot fend for themselves by hiding, running or fighting. For these and other reasons, these institutions and their staff must be prepared to assess and respond to an attack. 

At Holt, we offer training to healthcare institutions and their staff to, first, recognize the warning signs often presented by individuals seeking to do harm and, second, respond to a threat through action plans designed to facilitate the protection of patients, visitors and staff. No plan is foolproof, and every situation is different, but our goal is to create in your people the mindset, and provide them with the protocols, to immediately respond to a threat.
